2006 Annual Humanist Summer School

'Freethinking and Diversity'

Among the speakers were:

(i) Jeff Dudgeon, the author of 'Roger Casement: The Black Diaries', Published by Belfast Press, 2003. He will be talking on 'Sexuality Diversity and Irish Politics'.

(ii) Robin Wilson, the director of Democratic Dialogue since its foundation in 1995. Democratic Dialogue is a think tank based in Belfast www.democraticdialogue.org

(iii) Paul Rowe, since 2002 the first full-time Chief Executive Officer of Educate Together the representative organisation of the Educate Together schools and associations throughout the Republic of Ireland www.educatetogether.ie

Again, the setting for the annual summer school was the sweeping backdrop of the green Slieve Foye - the highest mountain in Louth - providing the town of Carlingford with a magnificent setting of raw beauty. A renowned Heritage Town, Carlingford is brimming with remnants of its medieval origins. As well as enjoying an unrivalled location, the village provided a wide range of quality accommodation and restaurants.
